About Meg
I have mediated family and divorce issues in Oregon since 1997 and workplace issues since 2005. I maintain a private mediation practice providing mediation in family and workplace situations. I also mediate issues in conjunction with government agencies and the Oregon State Courts. I present locally and nationally on the use of mediation in developing post adoption communication agreements in the child welfare system. I received my Master’s in Conflict Resolution from Portland State University in 2003 and my law degree from Northwestern School of Law of Lewis and Clark in 1989. I meet all state requirements for domestic relations mediation and child welfare mediation. I am a member of the Oregon Mediation Association and the Association for Conflict Resolution, as well as a member of the Oregon State Bar. I subscribe fully to the ethical guidelines of these organizations. I received the Oregon Mediation Association’s Mediator of the Year Award in November 2002.
I believe that mediation provides people an opportunity to be in control of working through their disputes, and differences in a creative and mutually beneficial manner. By creating a comfortable and safe setting, people can explore and discuss options that may resolve the dispute and in turn, build the trust and rapport necessary for ongoing relationships.
I welcome phone calls or e-mails from anyone interested in knowing more about mediation. I believe mediation can help people find resolution in a creative and effective way.
